Workshops
One day, on site or remote, built on your situation rather than delivered from a deck. The fastest way to get a room to agree on what is actually broken.
Who it is for Engineering leadership groups and the teams they are deciding for
what usually brings people here
The argument keeps happening and never finishes. Half the room thinks the tooling is the answer, half thinks the process is, and the meeting ends with everybody keeping their position. There are two named one-day workshops built for that, run on your own delivery rather than on a hypothetical, and each ends with decisions rather than a feeling.
- The same disagreement resurfaces in every planning session.
- Leaders and engineers describe the same problem in incompatible language.
- There is appetite to act and no agreement on what to act on.
- You want to test how we work together before committing to a longer engagement.
two named days to choose from
-
AI as an Amplifier
Identify where AI can improve engineering, and where it will only amplify problems you already have. The room leaves knowing which of its own workflows are worth pointing a model at and which need fixing first.
-
Find the Constraint
Get engineering leadership aligned on the one bottleneck worth solving first. Most organisations are working on four constraints at once, which is the same as working on none.
How the day runs
-
A preparation call and a short survey
The day is built on your situation. A generic deck delivered to your team is a talk, not a workshop.
-
The frame, in the morning
'AI as an Amplifier' or 'Find the Constraint', whichever you booked. Short, then straight into your own examples.
-
Your work on the table, in the afternoon
The group maps its own delivery, names its own constraints, and disagrees in the open where that is useful.
-
Decisions before anybody leaves
Written down, with owners and dates. A workshop that ends in a feeling has failed.
what you leave with
- A shared language for the problem, which is most of what stops the argument repeating.
- Concrete decisions taken on the day, with names against them.
- The materials and the exercises, to run again without me.
- A short written summary of what the room agreed and what it deliberately did not.

questions people ask about this engagement
How many people can attend?
Up to about 20 for a working session. Beyond that people stop contributing and it becomes a talk, which is a different thing and priced differently.
Can you run it for the leadership layer only?
Yes, and often that is the better first day. Leaders and engineers usually need different conversations before they need the same one.
Is a remote day as useful as an on-site day?
For either workshop, yes. For a room that has been avoiding a disagreement, being in the room matters more than anything I do.
Does this lead to something bigger?
Often, and there is no obligation. The day is the cheapest honest way to find out whether the working relationship fits.
